Central Jakarta Social Sub-agency controlled 269 People Need Social Welfare (PPKS) since January to April 2024. This activity was run to maintain public order.

Central Jakarta Social Sub-agency Head, Abdul Salam, admitted his side has deployed 81 service, supervision and social control personnel (P3S) at posts spread in eight sub-districts.

"There are also one quick response post at city level. It operates for 24 hours," he said, Monday (5/27).

According to him, there are six to eight personnel deployed to each posts for two shifts working hours.

Personnel are routinely monitor to tens of PPKS prone areas. Based on the data, there are 49 prone areas spread in eight sub-districts.

"The most prone area is in Tanah Abang such as at Thamrin City, Senayan City, and Karet Bivak Cemetery," he added.

Meanwhile, Central Jakarta Social Sub-agency's Rehabilitation Service Section Head, Siti Nurlaela, admitted those netted PPKS were already taken to Bina Insan Bangun Daya 1 Social House Kedoya to get mentoring.

"For elderly category is taken to nursing house to get mentoring and training to support their daily life," she admitted.
